Dr. Nicholas Souder is an orthopaedic surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He attended Texas Tech University for his undergraduate degree where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Agriculture and Applied Economics, and minors in Biology and Chemistry. He attended medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine where he received the Chairman's Award from the Department of Surgery and the Dean's Recognition Award. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
Dr. Souder practices general orthopaedics (non-spine), treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, and prefers to maximize non-surgical treatments before considering surgery whenever possible. Dr. Souder is joining our practice and coming from Childress Regional Medical Center, where he has implemented a rapid recovery joint program with multimodal pain management to improve recovery after joint replacements. He has also brought some of the newest technology with knee replacements to the hospital in Childress with the Mako partial and total knee applications. In addition, he performs the latest arthroscopy procedures, including the first superior capsular reconstruction procedure performed for irreparable rotator cuff tears.
Dr. Souder and his family relocated from Childress, Texas. They have three children, and they enjoy traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time together as a family! They are all very excited to start their new journey in the Ozarks!
